Effective ownership is a calculation that accounts for both the percentage of managers who own a player and the specific impact of the captaincy. Because your captain scores double points, their influence on your total score—and your rank—is significantly amplified beyond simple ownership numbers.
Why High-EO Players are Risky
When a player has high effective ownership, they become a 'must-have' for protecting your position. If you choose to leave a high-EO player out of your squad, you are essentially betting against the majority.
