The short answer
The deal is now official.
Nottingham Forest signed Ousmane Diomandé from Sporting on a four-year contract with an option for a further year. FPL has added him as a £5.5m defender.
He also came straight into Forest's latest pre-season starting lineup.

Why the role matters
Oliver Glasner has implemented a 3-4-3. Diomandé can slot into the central defence while the wing-backs play higher.
His routes include clean sheets, defensive contributions, set-piece headers and bonus.
Is £5.5m too expensive?
At the same price, managers can access defenders from strong clean-sheet teams or players with more attacking wing-back roles.
Diomandé therefore needs strong minutes and DefCon output.
Impact on Forest defenders
Official FPL pre-season analysis notes that Jair Cunha's prospects have fallen after Diomandé immediately entered the XI.
The signing can also help Neco Williams and Ola Aina play higher at wing-back.
OneFPL verdict
Diomandé is now a confirmed £5.5m option, but his team-mates may offer better value.
