A fixture swing is when a team's upcoming schedule changes difficulty sharply - for example, a side finishing a run of hard away games and moving into several kind home fixtures. Buying that team's assets just before the swing lets you ride the easy run before their price and ownership rise.
Read the ticker a few gameweeks ahead, not just the next one. Target players whose fixtures turn green over the next four to six gameweeks, and move off players whose run turns red. OneFPL colours each fixture by difficulty so the swings are easy to see at a glance.
Before. The value is in getting ahead of the swing - once easy fixtures arrive, the player is usually already rising in price and ownership. Planning one to two gameweeks early captures the price rise and the points, though always weigh it against team news and minutes risk.
Every gameweek the ticker shifts as games are played, so a team's next-five difficulty is never static. Blank and double gameweeks, cup runs and rotation also affect it, so check the updated fixture difficulty each week before committing a transfer.
