The 2026/27 FPL season starts with the Gameweek 1 deadline at 18:30 BST on Friday 21 August 2026. Every deadline is normally 90 minutes before the opening match of that Gameweek.

What must be saved before the deadline?
Before the deadline passes, confirm:
- Transfers
- Starting XI
- Captain and vice-captain
- Bench order
- Any chip you intend to use
Changes cannot be made for the active Gameweek after the deadline.
How to avoid missing a deadline
Use the official Premier League app notifications or calendar reminders. For planning, open the OneFPL Transfer Planner and map transfers, captains and chips before the final day.
Do not rely on a remembered Saturday deadline. Several early 2026/27 Gameweeks close on Friday.
